Love it here we come at least twice a year if not more. Swimming pool on site, shop on site, entertainment on the evening, Toilets and showers clean Such a friendly place. Dogs allowed Just love it here
Lovely place. Great to go. Nice friendly people. Julie, Dave, Matthew and gang are brill. Very clean. Lovely pool and playpark. Shop and bar not dear even a little part of the bar separated off for the children to use. Great entertainment. For my first time camping I cant wait to go again.

We have been season pitch holders for 20years!! South Devon has a special place in our heart’s . We arrived at Widend in the pouring rain I was for going home the next day then I met this special lady called Julie, she convinced me to stay so 20 years later we are still here, our daughters are now adults but still have life long friends they made in childhood at Widend and us we have many here as well. So come on down ( or even up from the far west ) -you will not find a better place to stay!!!
We returned to this nice and well maintained site to catch up with friends in Paignton. Stopped for couple of nights. Facilities as before were in very good working order and clean. Nice site and staff always warm and welcoming
My family have been holidaying at Widend for over 30 years and we have had the most amazing summers here. Such a beautiful part of the country, excellent facilities and amazing staff! Here’s to another 30 years of holidaying at Widend..
We have a static pitch here and this is our second year now, it is a no frills sight but having said that it has a club house that is really cozy and has light entertainment and the staff are really accommodating and friendly, there is an outside swimming pool next to the bar that’s heated, there is a little camp shop that has all you will need again with friendly staff and a couple that do food to order and it is absolutely the best oh and where it is situated the views and walks available to you are breathtaking.
Everything you need and perfect location
We stayed on a touring pitch for a couple of weeks. The pitches are very generous in size. There is a brilliant swimming pool that’s heated to the perfect temp. Showers and toilets in both blacks are spotless and showers are nice and hot. The shop onsite has the necessities and although as it’s early season not open all day yet it will be in summer. We ate from the take away on a couple of occasions and was value for money. The home need lamb is delicious and available from the shop or order larger amounts to take home. There is a children’s play area and a dog walk on site too. All in all it has everything you need as well as being just a few mins from paignton, brixam and torquay. And lastly the staff are all friendly and you get a smile and a cheery hello whenever you see them. We will see return.
